Join parents, students, advisors and community members for Pay it Forward: The Value of Youth Volunteering – a discussion aimed at highlighting the socio-emotional and long term benefits of engaging youth in community service.
Participants will gain insight into the service experience and have a chance to learn about service opportunities. A moderated discussion will include child development specialists who will speak about the ways volunteering can contribute to overall well-being in young people, a teen involved in community service who will offer insights to her experience, and a college admissions director who will discuss the positive role of service in the college applications process.
