May 1, 2019 — This week staff and friends wished Inginia Garcia farewell and joy in her retirement.  Inginia was an integral part of the early childhood program at LSAFHS for over 20 years, most recently as supervisor of the home visiting and socialization program.

At the celebration, Inginia recalled her early days making home visits to families.  Many of the babies she visited then are now in college or successful college graduates.  Inginia leaves behind a legacy of excellence in connecting with families for meaningful and lasting change.  While at LSAFHS, she made many innovations to our program delivery, including starting the Building Bridges of Hope support group for mothers.

Inginia inspired all those who worked with her with her caring approach.  On behalf of all of the families she served, we thank Inginia and wish her a wonderful retirement.
