WE’RE BRINGING WELLNESS HOME.
Strengthening East Harlem families since 1958.
LSA Family Health Service, founded by The Little Sisters of the Assumption in 1958, is a neighborhood-based nonprofit which delivers a holistic model of human services. We help families meet their most fundamental needs: food, clothing, healthcare, and a safe home. Through home visits, on-site services, support groups, classes and more, we help the most vulnerable achieve the wellness and strength they need to move forward.
LSA Family Health Service stands with immigrants, refugees and people of all faiths, and supports national and local policies that preserve and protect the rights of immigrant families. LSA will continue to provide Health & Wellness programs and Family Support services without regard to immigration status. We are committed to the families of East Harlem. We are friends and neighbors, and we work together to make the community better for everyone regardless of country of origin, religion, or ethnicity.
The struggle of living in poverty or crisis depletes energy, compromises health and impedes child development.
Over time, LSA’s holistic model of delivering an array of human services to families with young children truly improves health—and lives. Each family member experiences different needs. Our programs meet the most critical of those needs while nurturing healthy relationships and building self-sufficiency.
