Our very own LIFE project manager, Carolina Tenecela, is featured on CBS News today, September 1st talks about the struggles immigrant and refugees face when trying to navigate NYC’s education system. She tells CBS News “ We help them with the entire application because some of them don’t have internet service. Some of them don’t have laptops, they don’t have cellphones.”
Carolina was amongst other advocates outside of Gramercy park calling city officials to expand funding for community-based organizations like LSA Family Health Service whom support immigrant and asylum seeking families.
