LSA families, volunteers, and staff celebrated Pope Francis’ visit to East Harlem on September 25, 2015. One LSA family was invited to represent the agency at the Pope’s visit to the Our Lady Queen of Angels school. In addition, mothers from our Parenting and Child Development program made 225 paper flowers to decorate the tables at the school. Other staff members attended the Pope’s Central Park procession and mass at Madison Square Garden. It was quite an exciting day! Everyone was delighted to share our neighborhood and our work with this remarkable spiritual leader.
